A little while ago I stumbled on this amazing project by graphic designer, Nicole Meyer. With an ambitious goal on a Sufjan-Stevens-50-States-50-Albums level, Meyer is attempting to create one logo every single day for the foreseeable future for every one of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes! The best part… so far she’s done a hell of a job, managing to turn everything from the banal (“Lake Four Hundred Eighteen”), to the nondescript, (“Ixl Lake”), to the descriptive (“Dead Fish Lake”), into works of art.
